Sep 9, 2016 路 If your bluetooth dongle doesn't have external power, then you need one. 30 pins connector provide USB power, data lines but NOT auxiliary connection because the resistor for iPod sensor must be 1k ohm to force AMI to Auxiliary mode, it can't be both. -MMI 2G internal iPod sensor resistor is 1.87k and MMI 3G is 18.7k and the cable can't be both.

Sep 20, 2017 路 An earlier workaround using the MMI cable with red collar and dock connector (AUDI part number 4F0051510R) in connection with an Apple dock-to-lightning adapter cable is not working any longer. This workaround used to work like a charm including cover artwork. I already got in touch with AUDI, but there is nothing but silence from their end
