Undetected is a good thing but IMO get an Ultra Sensitive PSA Test. I was getting test results that kept showing less then >.01 but once it said flat .01, I said uh-oh and going forward ultra tests showed .099 then .137 Most good Urologists will say don't worry until it hits .02 or even .03 but that just wrong or BS. That early warning allows for some extra time to select a suitable radiation oncologist for example, since treatment often starts before PSA is around 0.2 In regular PSA testing, the gentleman I mentioned above had biochemical recurrence first noted at PSA 0.1 using the regular test and was in a panic to line up his radiation oncologist and I have been 18 months below the ultra sensitive PSA testing threshold of 0.015 and recently in 6/2017 below the new lowered ultra sensitive PSA testing threshold of 0.006. Been exclusively tested at LabCorp. I am now above the testing threshold of 0.006 having checked twice on back to back days on 9/15/2017 with readings of 0.01 and 0.009. Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) synthesis is related to testosterone, which has a diurnal rhythm. PSA might have a diurnal variation and the timing of measurement could change the clinical practice for prostate biopsy. Male patients complaining of lower urinary tract symptoms (group 1) and diagnosed with prostate cancer (group 2) were recruited Ultra-sensitive PSA enables earlier detection of PSA recurrence compared to that with conventional reagents (3-5). However, the effectiveness of additional treatment in regard to PSA recurrence postoperatively in RP cases remains debatable (6,7) and unnecessary treatment should generally be avoided. It is hypothesized that urologists may have

I'm 62 years old and have a PSA of 3.1 up from 2.1 two years ago. Urologist has suggested getting a biopsy since prostate cancer is in my family (but all much later in age). I suffer from chronic prostatitis and have had a recent flare-up that has lasted 3 months now. PSA was rechecked 5 weeks after the first one and still at 3.1.
